1. How suppliers provide their data?

3. Data with the TecDoc (hereinafter TD) connection  

  • In the supplier data, the supply/one line with TD connection must contain at least a combination of : 
  1. Either TD article number and TD brand ID
  2. Or TD article number and TD brand name

Data with TD connection are import like: 

  • During the import, in the first step system verify connection on TD brand. Just if the brand is verified, the system searches TD article number.
  • TD brand and TD article number are verified on TD:
    1. Either a product card is created and the supply is assigned to it
    2. or the system looks for an existing product card and the supply is assigned to it.
  • TD brand or TD article number not found on TD:
    • The product card is created and the supply is assigned to it.
    • The product is inactive by default. It's impossible to find him on the e-shop.
    • By default, the product name = product number and possibly its brand (if found on the TD), eg VAN VEZEL 038746.
    • In administration, you can add his information and eventually categorize and activate it.

4. Why a brand isn't verified on TD? 

  • A brand isn't allowed for your TD license
  • A supplier has wrong data
    • Wrong brand ID (Example: BOSCH has assigned ID 30, a supplier has ID 45667 in their data) 
    • Wrong brand name (Example: Supplier has a product with BOS brand name but the correct name is BOSCH in the TD)
    • The supplier doesn't mention any brand) 

TecDoc brand correction

  • If a supplier states in the data wrong brand name, we correct the wrong name in our system.
    • For example, the supplier will state the wrong FEBI name in the data. On TecDoc, the brand is listed under the name FEBI BILSTEIN.
  • The correction is used to find the part on TecDoc by brand so that relevant information can be retrieved.
  • If you encounter any discrepancy, please send us which supplier it is, what is the wrong and correct brand name.
    • For example, the supplier state FEBI in the data, but on TecDoc the brand is correctly named as FEBI BILSTEIN.
