This module is a one-way API that automatically sends XML with order data to a MySQL table. The MySQL table acts like a queue here. The shops send there each new order as a new row (shop → MySQL table). The other side (your client/reader) can read the new rows independently (MySQL table → ERP). The reader is not part of the module. It has to be created on your side. . . One of the benefits is that if your client (reader) is not available, the shop will still write new rows to the MySQL table. Even when there is a short outage of the MySQL server, the shop will try to write an order after a while (max 5 tries). After the 5th attempt, it sends information about the failed export to your e-mail or phone number (phone number and e-mail can be set in Settings). If you need to manually export an order to XML To Database, you can do so with the Export button on the order detail in the menu Export → XmlToDatabase. . Does the module writes also order updates?. The module writes automatically new orders and can also write all order updates (this option is configurable). So if you change something in the order, it will write a new row with the current (updated) data. No need to trigger the writing of updates manually via Admin. Do we still need to use REST API if we want to use this module?. You don't have to pull new orders via REST API if you use this module. But you need REST API to send order updates to the shop. The XML To Database module is only one-way (shop → MySQL table). . Does the module increase pageviews?. No, it doesn't have any impact on your pageviews. .
