A percentage increase of base price, which you can set yourself according to your requirements in the administration (Settings → Profit). It generally adds to the product price from supplier's data or the price of your own supply. General margins. A set of rules for adjusting margins for all products not influenced by specific margins. Specific margins. If desired, you can assign specific margins to a product group by adding a rule. At the moment it is available to set margins for supplies of a selected supplier, a selected brand or a combination of brand & supplier. How to add a rule to specific margins is described down below. Specific margins for a user group. The margin percentage can also be distinguished for individual user groups. It is an equivalent of specific margins, so when they are not assigned, the general margins will be used. If there is a rule on the same level. The rule from the highest position will be applied. How to get to this settings is described down below. Setting of general margin, specific margin for regular customers, specific margin for user group.

Null margins. There are suppliers, who provide in their data a recommended retail price instead of their selling price. In which case the supplier can have assigned null margins to avoid a redundant price increase. If the supplier does not have set null margins (resp. specific margins), the product supplies will be affected by the general margins. Setting of null margins.

Order of application of pricing rules. If more than one pricing rule is appropriate for a given product, the one that is more specific always takes precedence. I.e. the rule for the ATE brand from Supplier1 will take precedence over the rule for the ATE brand only. If there are two rules of the same level. For example, a rule on the ATE brand and another rule on the brake disc parts group, the rule earlier in the sequence has higher priority.

Multidomain shop. In case you have multiple domains you can set surcharge rules either individually for each domain or for all domains globally. There is a simple rule of thumb: If a domain has their own individual rules set up then these take priority - rules for all domains are ignored. If a domain has no individual rules set up then the rules for all domains apply.

Safety margin. You are able to set a "safety margin" that has the highest priority that will guarantee you the minimum margin on the product in all cases. It can be set in the Admin->Settings->Orders, VAT, Documents in "Safety minimal percentage margin when a discount is applied". We do not recommend using this margin as a primary pricing attribute.
